One of the ten best Space Rock/Death Metal albums of alltime, June 24, 2004

I first heard about this Clapton guy from my friend Jimmy... he said that he used to be the lead guitarist of Venom, but that they kicked him out for pawning all of the band's equipment so he could buy PCP and underage prostitutes. Well, I don't know about you, but I for one am glad that he broke free from Venom, and is now providing us with a classic Space/Death Metal album such as this one. The CD opens with "When You Got A Good Friend", which is basically a tripped-out intro featuring Clapton yelling Satanic propoganda into the microphone, with a rythymic crash of a gong in the background. This 15-second track alone is worth the price of the album. Considering the CD costs about $15 bucks, we're looking at a $1 to 1 second ratio... and even then I will tell you... IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! After listening to track one on auto-repeat for 3 hours, I moved on to the rest of the disc, and was amazed at what I heard. I have not heard blazing guitar solos of this quality since metal gods Iron Maiden and White Lion provided them in the 80's. Clapton's blastbeats from behind the drum kit were so insanely fast that my cat ran in horror when this bellowed from my speakers. . . .

Once Clapton fully matures, and gets a few more albums under his belt, then we will quite possibly see audio perfection. Until then, buy this.
